Television actress Chahatt Khanna, who is one of the most popular names to crop up during the Sukesh Chandrashekhar money laundering case investigation, has claimed that she was tricked into meeting the conman and that he had proposed to her inside Tihar jail. Chahatt told that Sukesh's aide Pinky Irani introduced herself as Angel Khan and invited her for a school event in Delhi. However, she took the actress straight to the Tihar jail from Delhi airport and there, she met Sukesh, who was then introduced to her as one Shekhar Reddy, the nephew of J Jayalalithaa. She also claimed that Angel showered her with money and expensive gifts, but later, some unknown men blackmailed her and asked for ransom. 'Sukesh said he wanted to marry me' Chahatt told the portal that she knew she was trapped when she was taken inside Tihar jail premises and pleaded to Angel to let her go. She added that she was taken to a small room inside Tihar jail, which was filled with expensive laptops, watches, and luxury bags from almost every high-end brand. Chahatt went on to say that when she met Sukesh, he told her that he became a fan of hers after watching 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain'. However, when the actress questioned him, he went down on one knee and said he wanted to marry her. "I shouted at him, saying, ‘I am married and I have two kids.’ But he said my husband was not the right man for me and that he would be a father to my kids. I got so anxious that I started crying," she shared. Chahatt claimed that Angel clicked a selfie with her inside the jail and while dropping her back at the airport, she gave her Rs 2 lakh, calling it 'shagun', and a Versace watch. However, once she was back in Mumbai, Angel blocked her and some unknown men threatened to leak her video from Tihar jail to the media if she did not pay Rs 10 lakh. "I agreed to give them Rs 3 lakh, for which I borrowed Rs 1 lakh from my father. They asked me to leave the money at a spot in Virar, which I did. Till today, I don’t know who the guys were," she stated. Chahatt said that the entire episode took a toll on her marriage and she separated from her husband. She also revealed that Sukesh would call her from international numbers until 2018 and enquired if she needed anything. "This has been a difficult phase and I have got trapped for no fault of mine. It has taken a toll on me emotionally. At one point, I wanted to just leave everything and go away, but then I told myself, why should I run away? I have nothing to fear and I am going to fight this out," she averred. Sukesh has been named as the prime accused in a Rs 200 crore extortion case, involving some of the biggest names of the country including Aditi Singh, the wife of Shivinder Mohan Singh, the former owner of pharma major Ranbaxy, actress Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi, Nikki Tamboli, and others. He has been accused of gifting cars, luxury bags, watches and other expensive items to the actresses, and he was even in a relationship with Jacqueline. He is currently lodged in jail and further investigation is underway in the matter.
