Theppakadu camp welcomes PM Modi on arriving at Theppakadu Breeding Elephant Camp at Mudumalai, Nilgiris district

The Theppakadu camp welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he arrived at the Theppakadu Breeding Elephant Camp at Mudumalai in the Nilgiris district. The Prime Minister, who visited the Theppakadu Elephant Camp from Bandipur in Karnataka, enquired with the officials of the reserve about the well-being of the domesticated elephants and took stock of the food provided to the domesticated elephants. He also saw the elephant Raghu, who was featured in the Oscar-winning documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers' and also met the Bomman- Bellie couple who take care of the elephants.
